Though in practise it was overshadowed by Soltari Priest and others, this is a solidly playable, nigh-unblockable weenie. With all the Soldier love that's been printed since Tempest, this might be the better card nowadays, at least in the right deck.

A very solid card, the backbone in my shadow deck.

2/2 unblockable for 2? And a soldier?

This card single-handedly turned my Soldier Deck into a Shadow Deck.

Doesn't quite match up to Soltari Priest or Monk, but as a blocker it can still take out most creatures with shadow. But nobody runs shadow, so you're looking at a white 2/2 unblockable attacker. 4/5 for a solid weenie.

He also gets some added use out of things like Relentless Assault. Might seem like a bit of a corner case at first, but consider white also gets the likes of Pianna, Nomad Captain, Accorder Paladin and Hero of Bladehold (not to mention you're only a splash away from Fervent Charge) and you've got some serious creature buffs for free.
