Could combine it with pacifism if you wanted to, which also provides a rather strange flavour.

I was always partial to pairing this with either Reprisal or Intrepid Hero. Total of 4 mana (through two colors pretty well-known for their destruction capabilities) to drop two creatures? Not too terrible...
