Mostly outclassed by Travel Preparations.

Or use it with Persist Creatures

With the number of cards that give bonuses to creatures with +1/+1 counters growing (the
all–powerful Mycoloth, Oona's Blackguard, Cenn's Tactician, Bramblewood Paragon, Kinsbaile Borderguard, and Experiment Kraj, just a start) not to mention, doubling season, the easy cost, and say... uses from all things Modular, Graft, ect.. Summary-it's cheap, way more useful than equiv. of other colors(e.g. giant strength) and well worth considering.

Less flexible than Thrive, but cheaper. Titania's Boon can be incredible in combos, but quite expensive. Decree of Savagery is much more expensive than either, but could be a game winner.

I think this is better than Travel Preparations in many ways. If you're not playing white, then this is strictly better, because this can put two counters on the same creature.
