I would rather go with a Blastoderm. Same CMC (just one extra 
, but usually not a problem) for a 5/5. Both have shroud, but the Blastoderm doesn't have to be paid for twice. Yes, it does have fading, but I'll take a 5/5 for four turns over a 6/3 that either lasts only one turn or has to be paid for twice. Would be playable without the echo, but not with it. Not when I can play two guys just as nice for the same price.

Agree, Blastoderm is more powerful. With a toughness of 3 this centaur is not going to survive long regardless of shroud. In that regard, we might as well use Blastoderm for three turns, or four counting Fires of Yavimaya.

Echo is a really harsh drawback, and this guy has low toughness without trample, so Ill pass.
