Funny how with ovinize wizards practically pointed out that being humble can be seen as being sheepish.

This is a great answer to Blightsteel Colossus and friends, especially when giving your opponent 11 life in exchange for their creature is undesirable.

@nammertime: Black has more cards that destroy creatures than white does. White, however, has a lot of creature exiling than black does.
@tuxmaska: Per rule 605.3b in the comprehensive rules, "an activated mana ability doesn’t go on the stack, so it can’t be targeted, countered, or otherwise responded to. Rather, it resolves immediately after it is activated." The player using Birds of Paradise/Llanowar Elves can still cast a spell. Humble will make those creatures a 0/1 with no abilities afterward. So, if you somehow managed to untap them, you can no longer use them for mana until end of turn.

Uh, liir007... white lacks strong creature removal? Really? What about Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, Unmake, and a whole bunch of other cards that make black creature removal seem almost useless?
That said, this is a good card.

The order of calculating P/T of a creature is:
a) characteristics
b) effects that set P/T to specific numbers
c) effects that adjust P/T but don't set them to specific numbers
d) counters
e) effects that switch power and toughnes
This card is applied in b), Goblin King in c).
Funny that this cards rulings don't mention them. Check Transmutation's rulings.

Your opponent spends 5 rounds pumping up a creature to some obscene power and toughness before attempting to smash through your defenses. Then your Suntail Hawk kills it after hitting it with this. Priceless.
