The best part about this card is that, even if you're not running it in an entirely shadow filled deck, it's still great. A 1/1, functionally unblockable, is pretty damn good. Even better, if you happen to drop another copy they both get bigger.
In a black suicide deck this can get beast, very quickly.

This card is actually very powerful in a Shadow deck. Though we don't see those around much anymore.

Ridiculously low cost for what can potentially become a very, very powerful card. Hell, even with nothing else on the table it comes out as a 1/1 with an evasion ability for 2cmc, which is decent. It only gets better from there as the game goes on; how many other cards can you say that about?
I'd say it should have first strike, but with Shadow that's kind of moot since your opponent is not likely to be running Shadow creatures.
Very, very powerful card in the right deck. It's only powerful and not completely overpowered because there's not much out there in the way of creating token creatures that have Shadow.

Can you say glass cannon? It's a good card but the toughness is lousy. I would run that black counterspell with this creature so it's not sneezed out of the game.

Shadow is one of the better mechanics that still stacks up today, and if you are going to play that tactic then you are definately going to need the Dauthi Warlord.
