I can't help but notice the card itself credits "Sam Wood" as the illustrator, but the oracle lists "Sam Woods." Relevant?

Not bad - bounce a creature, waste their draw, and maybe counter the creature as it returns. Too bad it is a sorcery.

I'm really surprised this is rated so low. It's a pretty brutal card to have to deal with when they drop it on a mana creature, delay your big beater by at least two turns or put your General on the library then shuffle it away.

Its sorcery but its a good tempo advantage. Would be great in devler but then you dont got a mana leak response.
