Had this been an instant, it would have been amazing. Otherwise, its fun for tribal decks.

I agree with AlphaNumerical and Forgeling. And both changes would have made perfect sense flavorwise.

Regarding the instant speed, the two snakes depicted on the artworks are seen jumping down a tree for an ambush.
(There are barely any token generators at instant speed that deliver such a sudden appearance.)

Regarding the Warrior type, look at their fierce body language. You can tell they are experienced and eager to battle.
Oh. And each of them is wielding FOUR. FREAKING. KRISES.
Which comes at little surprise, considering they are summoned by Sosuke, Son of Seshiro, the Snake Warrior legend.
So it's reasonable to assume they are from the Kashi-Tribe, in which every snake is a warrior.

Surprisingly not bad. Sorcery keeps it from being exceptionally powerful, but considering how stupidly overpriced anything with recursion was in kamigawa (Death of a Thousand Stings? 95% of soulshift?) this was exceptionally good for the set.

Gatherer works better in the Companion app!
