Sinse he's so old, he's had a lot of time to read. His favorite book by far is Spellbook.

By a most wonderful of coincidences, this guy's name both refers to the original and recurring Maro mechanic and is a proper Ja panese name.
Maro is a recurring suffix for boys names, meaning something along the lines of 'me' or 'I'.
Transliterated; Kagemaro means approximately "Great One of Growth".

I love how the entire cycle has the original Maro's name in them.

Based on the Creation Museum's estimates, he might not actually be that old.
He's not the best of this cycle from Saviors, but I gotta love him for just getting ridiculously beefy in the right deck, easily a 20/20 for six! :p He would just rank higher if he actually had some ability, even if it wasn't a great one.

I wish its name was Daburumaro, then it would be double maro. I think. I don't speak Japanese.
