Very interesting card... I'd like to see this card printed one day in a real set. And it should trigger "enters the battlefield abilities"... imagine what kind of crazy decks this would enable if that were the case...

The Unhinged FAQ (http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/article.aspx?x=magic/faq/unhinged) says that this triggers "leaves play" effects, but not "comes into play" effects ("enters the battlefield", now). So I'd assume that a Ball Lightning would be sacrificed at the end of the turn you reveal it.
The FAQ also says that creature enchantments are revealed, considered to be in play, and sacrificed because they aren't enchanting anything before you have a chance to do anything with them. Likewise, I think the same would be true of planeswalkers. They are sacrificed as a state-based effect when they run out of loyalty counters, right? Loyalty counters are put on them when they enter the battlefield, but remember, cards on top of your library don't trigger "enters the battlefield" effects with this. So a planeswalker or creature enchantment would be revealed and immediately sacrificed. That's pretty powerful.

this could make it worthwhile to have a ridiculessly strong creature that you could never hope to summon in your deck

Great card. I have always wondered though, if a creature gets Excommunicated with this down, does it even become summoning sick again?

I'm not sure if this triggers CIP abilities, it simply says they "are in play" not, comes into play. Just like a facedown, already in play Vesuvan Shapeshifter turning face up to copy oh, say, a Mulldrifter won't trigger the mulldrifter's CIP ability because it's already in play.
As for the Ball Lightning, I would still assume you'd have to sac it at the end of turn. Clones get instantly killed too unless you have something like mirari's wake out.

So let's say I play this, and I reveal an Opalescence and my opponent reveals a Humility. How do these two cards interact with the same timestamp?
