Cauldron of Souls= destroy any number of target creatures. They won't gain persist because they are destroyed before then.

I opened this and Jugan in sealed. Felt so good when opponent didn't even dare to target Jugan or else I'd near Hex'd him.

Seriously, this card seems like it could be used in all sorts of fun.... For you, anyway. Not so much for the guy who's losing 5 creatures a turn from the 3 cards I have already stated. And, once you've killed their creatures, bash away :D

How would you propose equipping him with Darksteel Plate? Equipping him would destroy him. You must target him to equip him, and equipping is an ability.
