This one is blatantly overpriced.
I have no idea why anyone should want to play this even if he wasn't legendary:
Four mana (double-red) for a tiny 1/1 that can only deal damage to attacking creatures (not even at least blocking ones, as apposed to most white creautres' "combat shooter" effect) equal to the number of untapped mountains you control?
Please, come on...

I think his ability is playable. But like someone else said, Kamigawa was just a bad block. They didn't factor in Power and Toughness when pricing cards. This guy would have been decent as a 0 / 3 or something, since his ability suggests he's very defensive.

Ah well. :\

Uhm... you could, ah, use him to shoot your own Mogg Maniac. Attacking his weak spot for massive damage!

...urg, yeah... Ben-Ben is just very underwhelming. It would be interesting to see what kind of rating the little guy would have if he could shoot blocking creatures too, but as he stands, he's probably not worth 2RedRed.

I do like that he is rocking that octopus on his head, though! Akki are weird.

Donovan_Fabian, he's still bad because most red decks wont have a enough mountians untapped to be really threatening.

Can use ben ben with seismic strike, you can basically seismic strike twice. The 1/1 isn't nearly as bad with cards like goblin king in play as well.
