The black Zubera. Yup. If anyone wanted to make a zubera deck, he or she should include this. Yes. This is actually one of the more self-sufficient Zuberae.

Actually, not strictly better than Black Cat. Black Cat causes random card discard which is significantly better than your opponent having the ability to choose. That and you cant' factor out the Cat's creature type either which is more relevant as a zombie. While yes, Ashen-Skin Zubera is better in a dedicated Zubera deck, Black Cat is better in a deck just splashing discard as an alternative to Ravenous Rats or as a solid two tap in a Specter Deck. All on preference though.
Anyways, solid card. I have a casual 5 color Zubera deck with nothing that's higher than a 2 drop. Just draw and drop Zuberas and drop the occasional fog and/or Pyroclasm :D Definitely not competitive, but great fun casual deck. People debate swinging at me in multiplayer games :)

This guy is a great defensive creature - it really makes your opponents think twice before attacking once you have other Zubera creatures out too. I've used all five of the original Zuberas to dominate multiplayer games with shenanigans.

With Megrim/Liliana's Carress on the field, you'll have to suffer through the loss of a card and damage or let the bastard attack, maybe reduce his power.
Or just exile him.
Or don't worry at all; who the hell uses anything but the land drops, ninja/samurais, and legendaries from Kamigawa anyways. (Divining Top, derp)

Strictly better than Black Cat but comparing to Ravenous Rats is different because they work differently.
Pros: One more toughness, synergy with other zubera.
Cons: Afraids of exile and bounce effects as it's effect won't happen.
My thoughts are whether to use this instead of Rats in Pauper MBC. I'll have to test whether the one toughness difference (as this is the only black zubera) is worth the risk of losing value to exile and bounce effects.
