if you pay 6 instead of 3, before you tap it, does it do it twice?

Sword of Feast and Famine gives you 3x as much value, and you don't feel awful pulling it from a booster. . . unlike this card.

Scepter of Fugue is this, but cheaper, except, with that you have to use black, this is any deck, just more mana.

olojmi - No, good thinking though. If you had something that could untap your creature like telekinetic bonds you could though ;)
I immediately think of "whenever a player discards a card" powers like confessor, or spirit cairn

@ClockworkSwordfish: Hmm. Disrobing Scepter. It's definitely a real card (at least as far as any Unglued card is real) -- go ahead and Google it -- but it seems they left it off gatherer, perhaps because it's not appropriate for children?

@Aquillion
Actually, Disrobing Scepter was never printed. It was part of a set of joke cards MaRo came up with for Duelist magazine. The "set" included other such cards as Gratuitous Babe Art and Rain of Typos.

There's an article for those interested.
