just being green doesn't make it a Selesnia card Zulp - as you see, it also doesn't have the Selesnia symbol on the textbox.
but i think Convoke would have been a nice idea for this card nontheless - a simple 7/6 reacher for 8 mana is not something i'd like to wait for in the late game. it's colored double-green, at that cost you can normally get a 7/7 flyer instead. yeah, we're talking about a green card, but i think it should have cost 
for what it does.

If you can ramp your mana enough, this is a scary blocker to have.
P.S. - Wouldn't it be pretty appropriate to give it convoke and make it a Selesnya card? That would make this extremely desirable, in my opinion.

While not terribly great (outclassed by other cards that are more playable for a lower casting cost), I have to say that is a horrifyingly large spider - wow!!
