@God_of_the_Smurfs - Lava dart was what I used with Gelectrode when it first came out. Then Flame Jab took its place. I suppose Staggershock would work well with this card too. Very fun card for casual. Always laugh maniacally the moment Gelectrode loses summoning sickness!

I love using this card + burn spells to clear a board of weenies while sending some damage my opponent's way.

@Fire Hive
I don't think you can mill your opponent to death with it. Conspire says that you can copy and assign a new target, I don't think that counts as playing a card that triggers the untap ability of Gelectrode.

Incredible card, one of my all-time favorites. Once in a 4 player game I did 20 damage to one guy and 4 to another on turn 5 with this, two Lightning Bolts, and a Chandra's Spitfire. It will never ever happen again, but it was hilarious and awesome.

Every time I play this guy all my friends groan. They know it is only a mater of time until I get Freed from the real or Curiosity maybe even some Clout of the Dominus just to *** them off. I love this guy, he is the KING OF TIMS.

My personal favorite card. All of my friends groan when it hits the table. So many fun applications with a weird creature. :D

I think that wierds should have had abilities that, you know, contradict each other. It'd make more sense flavor-wise.

I might be wrong here, but couldn't you deal infinite damage with a gelectrode and two reverberates or twincasts (make them copy each other so you play infinite spells, gelectrode untaps an infinite number of times)?
