I see how this would be very cool in a Hellbent/Madness theme deck, but is it possible to make this work in a more traditional burn deck? not a straight up RDW, its clearly not spikey enough for that. (problem 1: low curve = low damage from this. problem 2: best red spells deal more than their cmc so it would make your cards bad)
BUT maybe in an EDH style 'thick deck' packing lots of the ginormous cost 'BANG' spells like Decree of Annihilation or Obliterate?

It's obvious what the best use of the card is, I was just wondering if it had ANY other uses?

The second deck I ever built was an hylarious combo deck using this, Ragged Veins and enormous card such as Pathrazer of Ulamog and Ulamog's Crusher for discard fodder. It only worked about 40% of the games, but just remembering the looks on my opponents' faces when I discarded a pathrazer and a crusher for 19 damage on turn 3.

Pictur this: Dissension draft, had Kindle the Carnage, a 3 CMC card and a Squealing Devil in my hand and an X/4 on the board, and my opponent had a board full of 2/2s... I think it was true Rakdos spirit that I took the gamble, randomly discarded the 3 CMC card, wiped his board without having to discard the Squealing Devil, then played the Devil, and used it for a pump on my other guy... before beating in for 12.

From the rulings: " A creature that's been dealt lethal damage by an iteration of this effect will remain on the battlefield and be dealt more damage by any further iterations. After you stop, all creatures that have been dealt lethal damage are put into their owners' graveyards at the same time."

Hi there, Mogg Maniac. =)
