In a land destruction deck, this guy is excellent. It's basically a certain 4/4 pump-able flyer for 2 mana.
My deck manages to have him resolve from suspension 80% of the time at least, but it's a deck I don't ever take into multiplayer for obvious reasons, or against anything whose strategy is T1 birds or elves.

isn't the idea of suspending to get creatures out earlier? This seems like you will get it out very late like this, since opponents will most likely be hellbent only mid to late game. Maybe with some discard deck...

Alternatively, you can hope your opponent forgets the ability. Since it's optional they don't have to add a time counter...

Nearly every card in Time Spiral block was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.
This card references Shivan Dragon. It has been pointed out that perhaps it is a 'Pardic" dragon as most of the other cards with "Pardic" in their name have generally been considered "bad cards"; see Pardic Miner, Pardic Swordsmith, etc.

Seems fine if you have Fury Charm or something to take off the counters right away. Not to mention you can just hard-cast it and its fine.

yea the suspend ability is garbage...unless you use a Deep-Sea Kraken at the same time. give your opponent a tough choice they can either play spells and give me a 6/6 unblockable or hold off the spells and give me a 4/4 flying firebreather

Anyone just consider hard casting it. Yeah it would be worse than shivan dragon but still, in limited, its a freakin' 4/4 flier in red. It can win games just as well as anything else, no need to be so picky. Also you could just wait until you have a rift elemental so you can suspend it than get it into play with haste right then and there.

2 Jhoira's Timebugs for a 2 mana 4/4 with haste, flying and firebreathing. Also nice in the wake of mass land destruction. But not extremely impressive.
