The one advantage this has over Birds that everyone is missing, is that if you play casual, 10 cents a card vs $4 a card is a big deal.

As a student who really likes to play, and has like 15 decks on the go all the time, this thing rocks for green.

With Arbor Elf:
T1: Forest, Arbor Elf
T2: Forest, Wild Growth on other Forest, tap for GreenGreen, untap, tap again for GreenGreen. You now have three or four cards left to spend GreenGreenGreenGreen on. It you have Garruk, cast and untap again for GreenGreenGreenGreen.

Maybe the reason Wild Growth isn't in M10 or M11, as otherwise it's really flavorful and balanced.

Not nearly as good as Birds of Paradise, but it does offer some security from being destroyed.

There's a whole lot you could say about wild growth, especially its synergy with land untappers (arbor elf) and the fact that not many people run enchantment or land destruction. Unfortunately, it could also be said that any creature destruction your opponent is holding is just going to be directed at whatever creature you would play instead.

Anyway, it's great in enchantress decks. My yavimaya enchantress is usually attacking with 6 power on turn three thanks to this.

I'd probably prefer Utopia Sprawl, just because if you can already cast it you've got green and thus Utopia Sprawl wins on flexibility. Definitely a solid card though.

Hear the music of the world a-turnin'
Can't you hear the sweet sound of the world a-turnin'.
If you stop, look, and listen, you can almost hear things grow;
You can have music wherever you go.

First turn: You play 1 Forest and then Wild Growth.
Second Turn: You play 1 Plains and then Overgrowth.
Third Turn: You play any land and Mirari's Wake.

On 4th turn, you will have 11 manas. :)
Then you can play any big fat green creature lol :)
Also, you could use Rofellos.
