I play him in a tribal wizards deck. His ability is cheap considering it can target permanents. I remember tapping a friend's Howling Mine for his turn and untapping it for mine.

Phage the Untouchable?

Yeah. He tapped that.

But really. This card is ridiculously useful. Can double your attack efforts from a big creatures or keep the opponent on lockdown. I love it.

A must for any blue snow deck. Even if the deck isn't focused around snow, just make all your lands snow to take advantage of this card. Not a bad way to keep your opponent's best creature from attacking you every turn.

If your just going to use it to tap stuff why not use Master Decoy or something that doesn't require snow...

The advantage is that it allows untapping as well...

I use it to untap scrying sheets after a successful look, or if I just shuffled because of a terramorphic expanse. That and untaping cloudpost for even more insane amounts of mana for my fireball spells. Oh yeah and it taps down creatures if you like boring games.

@Charon

Um, no it doesn't. This can Tap/Untap PERMANENTS, not just creature. Besides, Pupeteer has a CC of 3. But then again, this guy need 4 snow perms, so it kinda balances out.

He's alright. Not bad for teamdecks where you can untap a buddies land to help with the mana. Can also tap annoying creatures or opponents lands or whatnot.

Still, dunno if he is worth a cardslot. Had him for a while in a snow deck, but then cut him from the deck.

I guess it depends on the amount of stuff in your deck you can use him with. In a deck that relies heavily on spells and less on permanents he doesn't do that much. Though he is good for giving his buddy heidar, rimewind master an additional untap.

3/5

Judging by some of the comments here i'd say that this card is severely underrated. This is an extremely versatile creature, not only can it Tap AND Untap but it can target any permanents. Preferable to the recent Blinding Mage.
Cool art too, Ron Spears is great. Check out Heidar, rimewind master for another excellent painting.
