Sacred Mesa is in fact very similar. I tend to run both though, as my playgroup likes to run hosing cards such as Moat effects, Hurricane or Earthquake ect. So, running both helps me get around that. Also, this includes vigilance for ALL your soldiers, not just the tokens, which has a really good use ... I would, in a soldier deck ofcourse, rate this higher than Serra's Blessing but the Blessing has a lot more uses to it if you can't pump out tokens with Mobilization.
I dunno, I really like t his, and tend to think of it as a solid 4.

soldiers should be disrespected. There is absolutely no way that a game is more fun when the makers of the game give you the idea to use instead of figuring it out yourself. I think that creature type decks, aside from the ones that are a bit more obscure, are ridiculous. Elves, soldiers, goblins, zombies, slivers, merfolk, wizards, spirits, and every other creature type that has been exploited by wizards of the coast making it easier on newbies should be viewed as such. The only way that it can be rectified is if the player uses the idea in a more original, less predictable way. Also, if they use it in a more classic fashion, it is a bit more respectable. Otherwise, people shouldn't get props for a great bird deck!
