Field Marshal; for when you just need a Veteran Armorsmith stapled to a Veteran Swordsmith stapled to a Rhox Pikemaster for only three mana. Wait... THREE MANA?!?

Yes, this bad boy should be a staple in any deck with lots of soldiers that runs white. He's so good that he could arguably replace Honor of the Pure in decks that can run him effectively. And his low cost means that you can play him early game to quickly gain the advantage or play him late game when you can afford to play more than one spell per turn... like, say, another field Marshal. Or drop him the turn before or after you play a big token producer. This guy + Captain of the Watch = QQ, GG.

4.5 out of 5, if for only he doesn't have some form of protection (which he could use, seen how he's such a big target), and that since his effect is a world effect, you can't really use him against other soldier-heavy decks. But... (see all)

captain of the watch makes up for its mana cost in that it gives yuou 4 creatures with vigilence and one is a lord. Field Marshal is better for just lording, but the captain makes up for it with token spawning

"He sure looks kickass. However I think the art is in conflict with the flavor. I feel like I'm looking at some red barbarian from Balduvia, yet I see a white border and a soldier creature type"

You think a barbarian would spend time studying a map of the battlefield?

@ Scumbling: I have been reading the Conan The Barbarian short stories lately and he is a barbarian who is strategic and a thief as well as later ascending to be a king. Barbarians use strategy, it's more their tactics that differ from a soldier.

Another great Soldier card and a good Lord as well. This is the lord that Soldiers have been needing forever. Mana cost vs. ability is perfect. Compair with Captain of the Watch and you will see what I mean. 4/5

Not better than the Captain of the Watch, since he offers +1/+1 & first strike to All othet soldiets, including solduets and changelings your opponent/s control... Captain spawns 3 tokens, gives and has Vigilance, and offers +1/+1 to only other soldiers YOU control... also, shes a 3/3 that poops out 3 2/2 soldiers (essentially...) while Marshall only offers himself to the fray, a lowly 2/2... no better than the tokens...

While these two cards are sepetate and could easily be put in a deck beside each othet, if you had a Preimmenent Captain... which would you prefer?
