It looks like he's wandering through some dude's backyard.

I believe the flavor text refers to the doll. The scarecrow is constantly after the doll. If it ever catches the doll its life has lost all purpose and it dies. The doll is a permanent of the color chosen. It's brilliant brilliant brilliant.

I can't believe someone else actually got that poetic reference. The art is also amazing, points for being a scarecrow that ACTUALLY LOOKS like a scarecrow.

MOE embarrasses himself by misquoting Eminem, while Kryptnyt neatly one-ups him by quoting Chris Griffin. Screw whatever poem this is from, the flavor text for me will always read "I'm gonna turn you into poo!"

@Gwafa_Hazid

The flavortext is quite interesting. The simplest way I can explain is thanks to my cousin who is watching Cars right now. In the movie, one of the characters wins a race by knocking another car out of the competition. The car that was knocked out was hurt and all the fans and family were upset over this. The winner of the race, lost all the support from his fans for performing the despicable deed he used to win with.

That's one way of looking at it I suppose...

Three mana for a 4/4, I love it. Bring it out with a mana elf early on, or drop a small shroud critter in to make sure you'll have the chosen color, and stomp stomp stomp.

this was actually pretty decent in standard with a mana base using borderposts, imho. it also looks cool.

Amazing art, great flavor, and actually surprisingly functional. As long as you have something that's a colored on the field, it's a 4/4 for three with no strings attached.

Decent card, 4/4 for 3 that can fit into most any deck. The drawback rarely matters, but sometimes it can lead into a 2 for 1. Remember, lands have no color.
