This is such a cool card, but it keeps getting dropped from my EDH decks. Animate Dead can get me something that's been discarded or countered, or died several turns ago, for half the mana. Dimir Doppelganger has the same versatility as Animate Dead, is repeatable like this card, and dodges negative etb triggers (so does this guy, but the creature still has to enter the battlefield normally first) and doubles as denial against graveyard strategies. Evil Twin guarantees me a copy without needing to find a way to kill the desired creature when I've got an extra mana open, and even comes with its own kill spell! And Lazav, Dimir Mastermind is just... wow.
That said, I can see why this guy's good. The hybrid mana makes him easier to cast than any of the "better" cards I listed above. And with his ability only costing 
, he's a great insurance policy for your own creatures. You killed my bom... (see all)

I like this card, it has interesting ability that reminds me of Dimir Doppelganger. Unlike the Doppelganger, having to wait until a creature dies can be inconvenient, but the cheap activated ability cost and the ability to take any creature compensate for its infexibility.

This used in combo with Typhoid Rats (equiped with a Viridian Longbow or backed up by a Swarmyard) can be really useful.
Any creature that was giving you trouble will be dead and, at the same time, enpower the Cemetery Puca. What is not to love?

A fun card for 3, but only really competitive against green decks and you have to use kill spells, which should be fine in a mono-black.

This card would be perfect for my customized Mortal Coil deck...I don't have very many "Powerful" cards I mostly rely on unblockables like flying and shadow and -1/-1 counters and if in a situation where I lose a valuable card or want to gain my opponents recently deceased this would serve very nicely
