To those of you who look at this card and see the drawback: Your opponent will likely be dead long before it becomes an issue.

Astonishingly powerful. Easily one ofthe best green/black two drops in the metagame.

Durh, OpenSeasonNoobs.
That's why you attack, see how they block/don't block and THEN pump it accordingly.
And you can only pump it once each turn.

@OpenSeasonNoobs

You seem to be under the odd impression that it somebody were to wield a card like that, then they wouldn't have built their deck around it....

DO you honestly thing that somebody would pitch all their life to a single spell without duressing/negating your hand? Drop a Canopy Cover on the leech and half the things you used as examples aren't viable anymore. Secondly, you can't Naya Charm players. Thirdly, nobody plays holy day/ fog in the current T2. Have you ever heard of suicide decks!?

The more I play this guy, the more I love him. He's one of my all-time favorite two-drops already.

"shame you can only use it once each turn"
Posted By: HoboBobby
Mainly because it would be way too overpowered, an easy and blatant turn 3 kill if no one is able to intervene. I would love if you could use it as many times as you want but again it would be "ohpee"

Quite the good creature. Definitely a competitor for black/green's two drop spot.

Everyone acts like this card is overwhelming, but I don't see what all the fuss is about. The "once per turn" restriction prevents this from being broken. Further, Wizards decided to actually be fair with this card--it's not like the creature's power and toughness exceeds its cmc with no drawback. Rather, it's a two-colored 2/2 for two mana that allows you to pull off some combat tricks, avoid having your leech burned to death with the notorious Lightning Bolt, and pay 2 life to deal 2 more damage. It seems perfectly reasonable.
