Unearth is a very underrated and underused mechanic. I guess it is outclassed now by undying, but, those cards have serious, serious drawbacks in terms of mana cost. For what you get, very, very good. I mainly chump block anyways so it's drawback isn't that big.

4.7/5

You have to respect this guy's P/T ratio for the cost. this thing hits like a truck and it's great to see unearth on him. I love the resilience this guy adds to my deck after a sweeper hit the board.

Holy sh*t. I have seriously underestimated this guy. I just put together a RB aggro deck, which has so far performed marvelously, and Shambling Remains is the glue that holds it all together. I would even say it's BETTER than Ashenmoor Gouger (I run both of them anyway). It's just amazing how I don't give a flying f**k if he gets killed or countered. Just two of these guys in your graveyard and you're dealing uncounterable 8 damage to the face, using cards that you've previously cast, which is sheer card advantage, and it puts a tremendous pressure on your opponent. Shambling Remains can't block, but it sure as hell can whoop some a.s.s.! Just play this card! 5/5

I disagree, both are good so I run 4 of each in my B/R beat-down deck anyway, but the unearth ability for only 1 less toughness definitely doesn't make it worse.

Id rate this way better than ashenmoor
unearth is cheap and effective, and i think it is underrated by a lot of people sometimes

I'd run this, but I play monoblack in my deck with Ashenmoor Gouger. Also, this has a T of only 3, highly susceptible to targetted burn, especially Bolts & Incinerates. However, Gouger can be ritual'd out as a 4/4 threat on turn 1, and this doesn't come close. Other than that however, it is a solid card.

It doesn't matter if Ashenmoor Gouger is better , because most people run both . A very good card .
