Almost any spell that can be played for zero mana has its uses. Decks w/ Death's Shadow, Repay in Kind, Fire Covenant, etc can make this card a 4+ star.

It's actually not that bad, could be used along with Invigorate and Bounty of the Hunt for "free" cost pumps for infect beats, makes me giggle.
