I love the absurdly ferocious, terrifying art they put on this free 0/1 creature. It looks like it should eat dragons and crap demons.

I have a flavorful (uber-Vorthos) "The Labyrinth" theme deck with kobolds, Mystifying Maze, a goblin guide, a Nip Gwylion, a Gempalm Sorcerer, Garruk's Companion, and a Little Girl. It always wins against my friends' "The Neverending Story" deck and "The Wizard of Oz" deck. :)

I just realized something about this little guy and his brethren. They're not on the reserve list. Could we see a reprint of them in the future? Oh, I hope so.

Callipsa: I'd throw a Coat of Arms in just for the overkill.

And "Kobolds are a red creature" is necessary, because a spell/permanent's color is determined by the color(s) of mana in the mana symbols in its casting cost.

(Also a Matrix deck, an Inception deck, a deck partly based on Walk With Me in Hell by Lamb of God, and a deck with 4 Lagac Lizards and 56 Mountains.)

So, gatherer says there are 2 other 0cc kobolds, so lets see, 12 kobold plus 4 thopters, 4 shield spheres, 4 phyrexian thingys. Throw in Ad Nauseum, Tendrils of agony and some tutors.... :)

To people who say this is garbage compaired to memnite and ornithopter. This is non-artifact witch make infine spells in a turn with cloudstone curio. And think about when it was printed this was awesome back then.

It may seen stupid because as 99% of people can tell, its a red card just from the background color, but unless they specifically write down on the card that it is a red creature, it would actually be considered colorless. Anything with a cost of 0 is colorless by default.
