This is what happens when you feed your Brown Ouphe after midnight.

this guy is going to work wonders in my infect deck.

I run a playset of livewire lash so this means whenever anyone targets this little guy with a spell, (including auras) I get to do 2 poison counters or -1/-1 counters AND I gain 2 life from doing so! I use a crap ton of boosts so this means it will help me stay a live and fight through the pain as I poison my opponent until they submit and die.

a big thing about infect is most times you are not going to want to be defensive, you want to be on the offensive so this is great.

I don't understand the hate on or this guy! He was TM for equipment, infect your opponent while gaining life. Not a bad little common

@DacenOctavio
How is this a bad Vampire Nighthawk?
The only things that this card shares with him is color, lifelink, and card type.
I don't understand how you're making a comparison to a card with different abilities, different mana costs, and different P/T.

I like it, but not nearly as much as the other two-drop infect creatures from scars.

Necropede (-1/-1 when it dies)
Plague Stinger (Flying)
Ichorclaw Myr (+2/+2 when blocked)
Blight Mamba (Regeneration)

What these all have in common is that they all have significant abilities that can force your opponent into a really nasty situation. That is not the case with Flensermite; gaining a bit of life is nice, but it won't usually help you a whole lot in the long run. The best case scenario I can see for this creature is using a bunch of spells or abilities that increase power and chump blocking to save you a turn and take out a creature.

Negatives aside, I really like this card for its sick art and new creature type that I've been wanting for awhile, I've always sort of considered the Ouphes as Gremlins, but now I don't have to.

Two points.

One: 'Gremlin' is not a totally new creature type. Phyrexian Gremlins were originally "Summon Gremlins".

Two: Phyrexian Gremlins will have the 'Gremlin' type once the latest Oracle updates come online.

I like him. Lifelink is the bomb. it stacks. Color is good: black always needs more life. The abilities work well together, you are doing one poison to your opponent and gaining one life, so it more than equals-out. Combine it iwth green pumping or ping away with heavy arbalest
