If curses ever do take off, this will certainly be the one that is most likely to kill you.

They're pushing dedicated curse decks.
I'm thinking red/black.

This card was part of a turn-5 combo that would win by turn 7 during 3xDKA draft. Turn 5: Get out Curse of Misfortunes. Turn 6: During upkeep, pull this card from library, then cast this card from hand (3 curses in play x 2 damage from Curse of Thirst, 6 damage total). Turn 7: During upkeep, pull Curse of Bloodletting, for (2x4 damage from Curse of Thirst, 2x from Curse of Bloodletting = 16 damage).

Even I wouldn't run this in Limited. I might as well just run gain 1 life spells!

Each curse ask itself: How many Curses does that opponent has?... 2?... Ok, I will deal him 2 damage"

I love tutoring it with either Curse of Misfortunes or Bitterheart Witch using Heartless Summoning to accelerate the process. Adding some Semblance Anvil in case I have a 2nd Heartless Summoning or this card on my hand.

Unless there are a bunch of cheap and good curses soon, this isn't gonna be that great, even with Curse of Misfortunes

EDIT: As it would turn out, this is a lot better than I had expected, especially with Curse of Misfortunes, at least in casual. CoM is basically an auto win if unanswered, especially with this and Curse of Bloodletting. It may cost a lot, but it is worth is when it is essentially a Lava Axe every turn with CoM. I could actually see Curses.dec seeing at least a little play if RTR brings a more control oriented environment, as it has a really good control matchup

Given Curse of the Pierced Heart is cheaper and does damage on its own, it's a better option than Curse of the Thirst, because most curses are expensive enough that you wouldn't have enough out to give the pressure.

For anyone that thinks it's over costed, how much would you increase the CMC of curse of the pierced heart to do two damage per turn? Three? Then it doesn't feel quite *as* terrible. It's still not good, though curse of the pierced heart has seen fringe constructed play.
