this is my favorite card in this set so far, with geosurge tailing shortly behind it. green removal? for three? that destroys anything? guess wizards was sick of jace raping standard to even give green a clear answer to him lol. this card says one thing to me: F*** who? F*** 'em all.

pulled this at pre release. first guy i played droped a turn sevenVorinclex, Voice of Hunger and i turned it into a beast instantly. he was ***ed.

One of the most amazing pieces of spot removal ever printed, *especially* for green.
Instant speed mono-color Vindicate for the same CMC is insane,
no matter what color it is, and regardless of that "drawback".

Also, I enjoy using this against Garruk, Primal Hunter.

It's like his +1 backfired and he became the beast, rather than summoning it.

Destroy any permanent for 3 mana!?!? 4.5/5 only because of an opponent getting a 3/3 beast, but 99% of the time you would much rather have that in play than what you destroyed.

The other 1% of the time you are still learning how to play the game.

And in new phyrexia we run green for removal.

Worst case scenario you blow up your own creature in response to some enemy removal and net yourself a 3/3 beast token.

Maybe late game you blow up an early O-ring, letting a minor threat come back into play, then recur o-ring with sun titan and deal with a newer, more prominent threat.

And those are some of the less effective uses of the card. Just great fun to play with, all-round.

@sarroth

Nonland permanents? You have trouble imagining a beast bursting out of a land, but its totally not out of flavor to imagine that happening to an enchantment?

The cool thing is that this has uses beyond what Vindicate can do. If your opponent swings his indestructible Blightsteel Colossus at you, it's nice to be able to flash in a 3/3 by saccing a Forest and stay alive for another turn.

This is retardedly good. And the fact that it's an uncommon just makes it retarded. 5/5

First of all, non-creature permanent removal is green's slice, the drawback here balances it out in a green way though. I love this baby! This is scary, especially at instant speed! Don't forget you can use this on your own stuff to trigger a dying effect or get an emergency blocker! One of the best removal cards out there, especially for green. Vindicate can shove it!

This is what green has needed for a long time. Good green removal. It takes out a *permanent*, giving green a direct way to deal with planeswalkers. It is also more versatile, able to do what a Vindicate can do, at INSTANT SPEED, for only one colored mana. The 3/3 beast token is barely a drawback compared to what you can remove with this, and can even be exploited. If needed, you can even use it on one of your own permanents, including a land, to use as a chump blocker during an opponent's attack, or to remove a pesky enchantment or equipment on an attacking creature to bring it down to size during combat.

This is a good example of "just when you thought you won the game GUESS WHAT? You didn't...."

4.5/5 for excellent green removal
