I'm always running out of these things. They work well in so many decks. I love burn-the-world attrition decks, and this keeps me ahead of my opponents while they are struggling under the weight of spiteful visions and manabarbs.

If you have this and Mycoloth out at the same time, and Mycoloth has a big amount of tokens, you would have a hard time losing.
then again, if you add in Doubling Season, along with a way to consistantly add +1/+1's to your fatty... yeah.

I simply love these things! I run four of them in my token deck. It is not rare for me to get over 20 life out of one Essence Warden. With some tokens and Rhys the Redeemed out, lifegain will really get out of control after a couple of turns.

Saproling deck with this + soul warden = I rarely feel a need to block during a match. So strong. Boon Reflection doesn't hurt with'em either.

Everything about this card is perfect.
5/5 just for that. Doesn't hurt that it's also rather powerful, especially in multiplayer.

4 mana, should be at least 4x insect and 4x life.

So you make sure to get one Essence warden on the field for 2 mana before you beacon.
