This is way underrated, he can bring a massive beating in Werewolf tribal. With the undying, he basically becomes a sort of double Taunting Elf

4/5

If you have three of these out, you can basically represent a wolf t-shirt on your side of the table. Three Wolf Moon!

On top of that, this guy brings the beats; in R/G Werewolves he's a great 3rd turn support for your little guys, and when they transform he becomes even better. If you're not facing a token deck that can drop chumps on the fly, this wolf will bring down the hurt.

This is good in any red creature deck. I'd even put it in my goblins! What? Goblins can ride wolves!

This is one of those cards that is damn good, and is well rated, yet every comment is about how it is underrated.

Puppy!

Seriously though, this guy seems like he will be tough to face without removal. it is unlikely you will attack with him unless you will get a lot of advantage out of it, and very likely to hold him back if he could get killed with no real gain. This means that without removal this guy will be swinging for at least 2 massive attacks that will likely break any deadlock and get you very close to winning. I can see high picking him in draft if you know you are doing aggro with red.

Also, he surprisingly has more synergy with the vampires than the werewolves. Quite nice.

Wow, how did I miss this card? When I first saw the art and mana cost I assumed it was going to just be some sub-par, limited only wolf and passed it by. Then I actually came back and read it and was pleasantly surprised. Did I ever underestimate this guy.

The undying really makes this card frustrating for your opponent since they will want him off the battlefield ASAP. Unless you're playing against tokens you should easily be able to keep ahead of your opponent in number of creatures. With so many cheap red creatures that are just dying to get through like Furnace Scamp and Markov Blademaster he's going to make the guy on the other end of the table sweat.

The only potential downside I'm seeing is if you're running Curse of Stalked Prey as well, since that will turn off his Undying. It's a shame, since otherwise it would have complemented him very well.

Loving this in my R/G beatdown deck even without werewolf/wolf tribal, makes all your creatures have in built Goblin War Drums when it attacks. People choosing to burn it or killing it with removal will find it comeback as a 2/2 and them having to waste another card to deal with it

So say you cast deadly allure only pyreheart wolf (or any other creature attacking with it) and swing. If the opponent has two creatures, must he now use both of them to block the deathtouch one? Obviously with one opposing creature you just wasted a deadly allure

Always draft this guy if you can run red. He's very hard to answer in limited, as most people rely on single blockers to keep them alive.
