And normally you can't attack with it, Brooding Saurian plays in a way that lets you do that.

If your opponent managed to graduate from second grade, he'll probably realize that paying 2 life is preferable to taking 5 from the air. However...

Not too bad. It effectively becomes a card you pay RR for every turn and causes opponent to lose 2 life every turn.
