It won't work with Leyline of the Void. One is allowed to exile all cards from an empty graveyard to counter Grip of Amnesia.

Beastly counter against Yawgwin. You'd get your oponents hopes up with the possibility of it not getting countered, only to realize its effectively countered either way. :)

Also, draw a card, why not.

The only problem is that only the first copy of this card will be useful. Afterwards, it's just a cantrip for two mana when another spell is played.

A black/blue deck that Donates an Immortal Coil could be fun with this.

You have to tap the coil Andon_A, if you Donate it then you no longer control that ability.

This might be the softest counterspell I've ever seen. The low cost and the cantrip make it decent, but I don't think very many decks would want to run it. Might fit well in a deck with Living Death.

Phew. I think this card would play quite well Mist of Stagnation, Web of Inertia, and similar.

@Ayisha28
Here's the stack:
Grip of Amnesia
Naturalize

Then yours resolves, so pop Grip off the stack:
Naturalize

Now both you and him have a chance to respond after Grip moved off the stack and before naturalize happens. Tap your mana and add chain of vapor to the stack:

Chain of Vapor
Naturalize

He may respond to Vapor if he wishes (maybe by playing a second naturalize that would resolve before Chain.) Supposing he does, Chain of Vapor resolves putting the Mist back into your hand.

You both get a chance to respond now as well.

Naturalize.

Naturalize is "countered" as a state based action when it moves to resolve as it has no legal target.

Now supposing that he had answered Chain with another Naturalize the stack would look like:

Naturalize
Chain
Naturalize

In which the first naturalize would destroy mist, then the next two spells woul... (see all)

Thanks Blurry...however he is still contesting the stack process..as he is saying that the Draw a Card ability for my Grip would only resolve if it successfully countered a spell. He is saying that if the player chooses to remove the his/her graveyard the draw a card part for the Grip cannot be implemented..???

what's the point of ever using this card if your opponent can remove their graveyard with no cards in it? there's cheaper ways to remove a graveyard from the game if that's what you're looking for and cheaper ways to draw for blue too.
