I really wanna use this at some point in a multiplayer game when I know I won't be able to pay the cost and just scream "Banzai!" One unlucky fellow will look at me and go "Really, man? Really?"

Of course, Platinum Angel stops you from losing the game entirely, meaning this becomes a 0 mana Cancel full-stop no questions asked.
Your opponent would have probably tried to kill the Angel, but lo and behold, you had a counter for that...

This is the card you want mid to late game... When you are tapped out playing Sphinx's revelation and they try to counter.. Or you tap out to drop huge creature and they cast removal.. OR when you are tapped out and they play Ulamog or Karn feeling like it's finally safe...
Or when you are ready to combo out/swing for the win...
Then you will know the power of playing this card.
