I think it's significant to note that those are orcs in the art, when there haven't been orcs in magic since Time Spiral (future tribe?).

I understand that Divine Verdict was slightly overcosted for an effect that no one wanted outside of limited, but I'm not sure halving the price and changing "destroy" to "sacrifice" was the right response... That said, I always appreciate new Gideon Jura flavor text and this is still a pretty powerful effect, even if it more than likely won't see constructed play.

This will happily slot into my Orzhov deck. Always looking for new ways to get rid of indestructible and Hexproof guys, especially at low CMC's for maximum extortability.

Anyway, I think this compares very favorably to Divine Verdict. The trade-off of "I don't get to pick which attacker" vs "I can kill that one hexproof attacker" (I'm looking at you, Invisible Stalker) is not a bad tradeoff, and cutting the mana cost from 4 to 2 is a big deal (especially for an instant that you mostly want to use during their turn... leaving 4 mana open is hard). I think it will at least make it into some sideboards, if not mainboards. I know I'd love to sideboard it in against hexproof aura decks.
