Wonder if that little foot guy is uncomfortable.

Also: that's one weird looking pirate.

@ Darthparallax, there's a reason for printing in this "From the Vaults".

Since Wizards is celebrating Magic's 20th anniversary, they printed this with a card from each years Standard tournament that made a big deal. The article that explains this is here: (http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/rc/259). Go down to "Twenty cards from From the Vault: 20)

In short, Chameleon Colossus was an amazing finisher in some guys Black/Green Elves deck in 2008. Mistform Ultimus probably wasn't (not that you thought it would be).

With Theros just over the horizon, this guy is about to become a god... not that he wasn't already.

This card is superb, but it's even more fun in casual. One of my friends has a deck that uses it in conjunction with the chimeras. (Brass-Talon Chimera, Iron-Heart Chimera, Lead-Belly Chimera, Tin-Wing Chimera) Doubling abilities are really insane, and possibly some of the Timmiest out there..

I don't think this needs mentioning but this is an amazing card for equipment/Aura decks and it is a very power card against the right deck ---- @DarthParalllax congrats on becoming the next TimmyForever --

I am sorry but as I hate Changelings, I cannot give this a good rating -_- I'd prefer it if they'd Vaulted Mistform Ultimus. :P Yes, I'm one of Those Guys.

I know it was like, powerful and crap or whatever? But I mean, so are a lot of the M14 Slivers and those all suck too. :P I am a fuddy-duddy from a bygone era.....

"These Times, They Are A-Change..ling"

No hard feels :) <3

I mean....Ferlord is right and all....I am saying that, for the 2008 slot, they should have picked a different high profile card. Like, say, Bitterblossom. Since you know, Faeries completely raped everyone a bit there, kinda anally, and therefore since I don't think Bitterblossom is legal in Modern, it was not in Modern Masters, and people would have eaten that up. :P

Something from a BOGEYMAN deck, not just something that did well for a season. Something that from a deck that was so cool and powerful that Wizards decided it didn't want newer seasons to have decks... (see all)

It's legitimate to judge a card by many criterion, not just one.

For Timmy, Spike, and Johnny, it's OK to say "this card is for you/this card is NOT for you"

For the Color Wheel, it's ok to argue *what* belongs in what color, or what colors could use a change, a New Thing, but it's NOT okay to say "yeah but the Color Pie just doesn't matter this time."

For the Melvin-Vorthos issues, it's NOT ok, in my opinion, to say that it's alright for a card to be "Not for Vorthos", OR "Not for Melvin", because every Jank Limited Playable Common proves that you can design, literally, thousands of cards of any kind you want that please The Color Wheel, Vorthos and Melvin all at the same time, irregardless of whether the card is "Also a Timmy card", "Also a Johnny card", or "Also a Spike card"

This card to me immediately hits Timmy nicely- it's a Green fatty, and TimmyForever *really* hates Blue and Black, so Protection from the Horribly Unfun Counterspell or Doom ... (see all)
