There are going to be a LOT of dudes chained to Sacred Foundryses this year.

From Maro's article today:

"The design version could enchant any Mountain..."
"Chained to the Rocks was originally common."

WHAT. And this, my friends, is why development exists.

Hahahaha Street Sweeper. "I've chained your strongest dude to the rocks! Now what!"

"Sorry, you parked your rocks on the wrong side of the road. The cleaning crew is going to ruin it..."

This is what Theros should be about. Cards that reference our most cherished myths. Mechanics that echo ancient narratives. Cards that are fun, playable, but won't be ubiquitous.

Talk about flavor. This card is dripping. Also very neat way to support enemy colors. Definitely want a few.

Absolutely love the flavor of this card. For the sake of mythological correctness it could be based on either the story of Prometheus or Andromeda. The Greek gods did love their chaining people to rocks!

You can use this on Emrakul.

Those must be some strong chains.

With our amazing mana bases going away this is slightly less awesome, obviously best with sacred foundry and pretty good overall

3.5/5 Stars

Even with the weakened mana bases in Standard this card pulls immense weight at nearly any point in the game. If you're running Boros with even just a red splash these are almost 100% worthwhile it.

Easy 5/5 in the right deck.
