@ CylockXIII:

Enchatment is a type, not a sub-type, and no she doesn't.

Barring any effects but her own, she's always a Legendary Enchantment, and sometimes she's a Legendary Enchantment Creature with sub-type God.

@Tiggurix: It is dumb, but my guess is it's Wizards trying to balance the gods.

If you could block after attacking with Heliod, he would be superior to the other gods in combat. If Nylea could deal "lethal" damage to less tough of a god and trample a couple points over, she would be superior.

I get the idea that Wizards is trying to force a "nuclear deterrence" strategy on us in god-on god scenarios: I don't attack you with my god because I know after yours blocks mine, your god will pwn me.

Not reach? I mean, I know it's not as powerful as trample, but everything points towards it.......

So giant archers cannot block flying, but tiny archers can?

Nice in mono-green ramp (that devotion is very easy to reach), but I feel the lack of giving herself trample hurts.

This plus her bow is nasty. Trampling deathtouchers only need to deal one damage before going over, so most of it will be taken from the opponents lifetotal.

About the Gods, there's just this one thing I need to say.

During the pre-release just a day ago, I got this chick, her bow, and Thassa. Now that looked facking sweet, I was obviously playing UB. And so, in one of the matches, I actually got all these cards out on the board, and guess what? I lost really hard. Because even though that scry 1 was really nice, and being able to give myself 3 life each turn was decent; If you don't get something to back these dudes up it's over. The Gods and their weapons are powerful, but not on their own. And it really showed. I got smashed several times by minotaurs and giant foxes, even though I had Legendary Mythics on the board and they only had commons.

And that makes me very happy.

I find it kinda dumb that she doesn't get Trample herself. Same with Heliod not getting Vigilance himself.

Works great along with her blandly named weapon of choice, Bow of Nylea. Green shouldn't have any problem getting a measly five green mana icons on the board.

Definitely going to replace Primal Rage in my EDH decks, but I think I'll keep Brawn still.

The god cards are going to warp EDH a bit. They're sure to be popular. There's five already, with ten more to come. Dealing with Indestructible Enchantment/Creature things is going to require effects like, for example, Sever The Bloodline, Ashes to Ashes, Tragic Slip, Swords To Plowshares, Dispatch, Erase, Fade into Antiquity, Karn Liberated, Duplicant, or Legacy Weapon.

While I may not be as excited about her as I am about the gods in the other colors, she does provide a much more interesting option for EDH decks that want to run Primal Rage, but find it too boring.
