Solid defender stats, doesn't hurt Reckoner, and if you have a defensive game plan anyway it won't be a problem tapping creatures that have already made their blocks. Sweet design, awesome card. 3.5/5.

My gut instinct is to hate on this card, but I'm not sure it's totally worthless. It's a very big wall (with no reach), with good tribal support and the option to pump. Given that a zombie deck is one of the few times Black would produce enough tokens to make this thing a viable pumper-
Oh what the hell. It's awful.

Really not much use at all, even with the Phenax association. There are better cards to use with him, at lower rarities too.
Still, the art is fantastic and the flavor is great.

I initially was going to comment as to why this is an uncommon when it could have been an awful common. But then I thought that would take precious real estate away from Pauper players. Now I just shake my head and wonder why this card exists.. at all. Maybe without defender it'd have been alright? Maybe? Still, B -and- tapping a creature is a lot to ask for. It's a wall in Limited. That's.. all I got.
