If you want to up your rat count for Swarm of Rats or Pestilence Rats, I would use Lab Rats instead. It still costs one black, and late game you can use the buyback.
Sadly, bagilis, Relentless Rats only cares about other cards named Relentless rats.

Typhoid Rats is better in nearly all situations. Can only think of is Muraganda Petroglyphs.dek
