I maintain, and have maintained since Darksteel came out, that no mono-colored deck is complete without the appropriate affinity golem. That said, this is not one of the better ones, much rather have a Dross Golem.

IMO, the best Affinity Golem. The stats on all of them are pretty strong for monocoloured decks, but mono Blue benefits the most out of all of the roles this golem plays for it:
A good early blocker, always strong in Blue when it can kill most 1 or 2 drops without trading.
An evasive, 10 turn clock when you don't need to block.
Artifacts to fuel Blue's artifact shenanigans.
Most important, an easy drop when you want mana for counters up. If you drop this on turn 4 with all islands dropped, you've got two mana open for counters; exactly what most decks want to do.
