Not nearly as bad as it looks. It can be combined with any sort of mass damage in a creatureless deck to do serious harm. Or, just toss it down in multiplayer after a late-game wrath to kill everyone.

I don't like it. Pestilence is the cheapest way to wrath with it, and that's still five mana and two cards, plus four mana earlier for pestilence, and you lose the pestilence barring shenanigans. Pyroclasm ups it to six mana and two colors. Tack on another three mana for a massive life loss that can hurt you too.
tl;dr Overcosted.

Would be much better if black's equivalent to Pyroclasm or Volcanic Fallout wasn't a -1/-1 counter sort of deal. Yes, I mean Marsh Casualties. Still, it's a wonderful card for my skeleton deck, since regenerate makes the creature killing easy enough to take advantage of and it does plenty of extra damage when I need it. A bit too situational to be that useful outside a more casual deck though.
