One of the best X=8 drops to get in Momir Basic, as it has evasion and will get rid of two of your opponent's creatures. Usually, getting one of these guys spells "Good Game" in that format.

Consider that Mahamoti Djinn is pretty fairly priced at {4}{U}{U} for a 5/6. For the extra {2}, you're getting a pair of Unsummons.

I think wotc made them expensive, because you can have them bounce themselves and some other target, and do that each turn. Sure, it's expensive, but it's repeatable bounce that can trigger cards that trigger on creatures entering or leaving the battlefield, and is also a 5/6 flyer when needed.
Not saying it's great, but definately got it's uses in slower formats.
