You need the Citanul Heirophants to produce the mana to pay for the activation costs of Thopter Foundry. I prefer the Krark-Clan Ironworks to make infinite tokens and just use the artifact lands from Alara Reborn for the mana to start comboing. Requires a bit more, but you get infinite mana, and if you have 1 mana open after playing KCI, you can start the combo there anyway.

This card is a fantastic combo enabler for the casual player. Few people remember that it even exsists due to the brokenness of Tolarian Academy. I use this in TONS of casual combo decks. Ever wished you could directly turn all of your token creatures into more mana to make more tokens? here is your card. Also great with Gilder Barin and the other Untap cards from SHadowmoor

If you have infinitive flying 1/1 all you have to do is atack once. No need to combo it with any other card.
