Try using it alongside Guardian Beast - since the Orb is destroyed rather than sacrificed, and the Beast prevents artifacts from being destroyed, it will stick around to be used for as many times as you have mana.

Also, it DROOLS LAVA.

@Promatim

People actually did rip up their Chaos Orbs in order to hit as many targets as possible, this was sanctioned in tournaments. This was a long time ago when Chaos Orb wasn't that valuable, and when people didn't estimate that the value of these cards would go up so dramatically.

It wasn't due to specifically one person, but rumors in general about this going around was what led Wizard to create the unglued card Chaos Confetti.

This card used to be my absolute favorite card. My group of friends would allow me to play it, even though it was banned. It was so fun to use amongst friends, but after awhile i singled out one single pal of mine with it and would only use it on him. Why? Because he always deserved it, that's why...
2 things. After a bit of practice my form was to hold the card by the side using my thumb and index finger. Then simply release my thumb and let the card flop, worked like a charm EVERY single time.
And i sold all the card in my collection, and i don't even want to speculate how much they would be worth today, i know a huge amount. But i have no regrets really, but the one card i do regret not keeping is one Chaos Orb i owned which i had signed by Mark Tedin at a convention in Seattle. i asked him if he could not only sign it, but add a cartoonish caption above the artwork with the words "Bleeeeaaahhh", just as if you could hear the beast vomiting lava. He looked at me kind of fun... (see all)

Points for being LEGENDARY in the magic cannon. The story alone is worth a 5/5.

how bizzare. both the flipping into the air, and the fact that the art is a big fireball vomiting.

From the rulings: "If you have sleeves on cards, they count as the cards."

So put your Chaos Orb deck in REALLY BIG SLEEVES!

I guess we'll never get a Magic Online version of this. It wouldn't be quite the same.

Soul Foundry, Clone, Chaos Orb, Karn, Silver Golem

(6): Hit your opponent with a pillow. Every turn. And it uses no Un-cards

According to an urban legend, a tournament player once tore his copy to pieces and spread the pieces over his opponent's cards, destroying all of them. His opponent promptly called a judge and had him disqualified for only having 59 cards left in his deck.

@ Arachibutyrophobia: there is also Falling Star. Both are now banned in all formats. Remember this goes back to Alpha, when the rules and tropes of Magic weren't well-defined yet.
