Fits the goblin flavor. If you win, we kill one of your awesome creatures, if you win, kill one of our expendables.

Shame there's no flavor text for this card, it would be so awesome.

does this get twisted up and crazy with grip of chaos, or does it have more than one target?

Why bother with the bow and arrows when he has a handgun?? Maybe bullets are hard to come by in Dominaria?

Give all your creatures pro red or shroud and none of them will be legal targets. Then your opponent will have to choose one of his/her own creatures. That way its more of a win win!

Combos with Asceticism.

Also, a rare gun sighting on a Magic card.

@yesnomu: I don't think this combos with Asceticism. Hexproof protects your stuff from spells and abilities your opponent controls. Even though your opponent is choosing the target here, you still control Mogg Assassin.

@supershawn: It has more than one target. Read the Oracle Text: You choose a target and your opponent chooses a target, for 2 total targets. The ruling also says "pick the target creatures."

No one has mentioned that there is the possibility that, in a multiplayer game, your opponent might choose a creature you don't control. I'd expect that they would target one of your creatures out of spite, since you targeted one of their creatures, and I would really expect that they would target Mogg Assassin to not have to deal with it again, but if they really hate another opponent's creature and you're really good at politics, you might get in a win-win scenario. Or, if all of your creatures had shroud or protection from red, then your opponent would have to target something other than your creatures; at worst, they would target the same creature you did, and you would have a guaranteed destroyed creature.

Even without all of that, I still love this card. Sometimes you just need rando... (see all)

Gatherer works better in the Companion app!
