Somewhat surprised to see the rating on this guy. Of course he is going to be a tad costly... he's a power 2 black flyer (sometimes).

Anyway, I don't think he's absolutely worthless. To my knowledge, this is one of the only, if not THE only flying zombie ever printed. For that reason, it may be of some use in some U/B Zombie tribal decks with the right support. Especially those that need something to atleast block and kill those annoying early game flyers that can plague zombie users.

With enough available mana, even late game a flying zombie could be a pain in an opponent's ass. He may not look overly threatening, but consider Death Baron, and you'll see that even the weakest zombie can potentially be a legitimate threat to the other guy's best beatstick.

In contrast, I admit that the flying cost is a bit on the stiff side though. Would it have really hurt to make it just 1 blue mana wizards? He'd see more widespread use if that were the case I'm sure.

I agree with the guest; if it only cost {U} to give it flying, it'd push running Zombies in Blue/Black rather than monoBlack a little better than it currently does with a cost that's a little too expensive for what it does on the size of creature it's on. As is, there isn't much reason to break the monoBlack mold for this tribe. At least not until Innistrad, that is. It's nice to see precedent for "Blue" Zombies.

This is a FLYING Zombie with epic artwork. If it was a playable card as well your head would explode from too much awesome.

should have some ninjutsu and have the type assassin
more seriously, it would be hard to splash for a true zombie tribal which just needs pure black imo, and any other UB decks.. well not sure if they would need this, it misses some cool features, the flavour text would suggest fear, regeneration, shroud or flying, but without mana costs please, then it would be cool
