so what would happen if i played this, then decked myself on purpose with Ad Nauseam? would it be a draw since i could no longer play? or would i lose by automatically conceding since i can't draw? not sure i understand...

You people are absolutely crazy. Let me just drop a few random quotes from the comments, show you how stupid you sound.

Hiding behind your cards is the game of amateurs and doomed cowards. And in any case, there are far better cards to protect you. Moment's Peace or any of the other fog effects can completely negate an alpha strike, and leave your opponent wide open for a brutal counter attack. A properly-casted ... (see all)

This makes a compelling case to keep artifact exile effects like Return to Dust and blanket artifact destruction like Shatterstorm in your sideboard. Naturally, someone's going to play this and try to make it indestructible or shroud/hexproof. If they manage both, your options get even more limited. Apocalypse I suppose?
